Limiting Public Access to Municipal Complex and Annex
On March 19, 2020, Governor Asa Hutchinson confirmed 62 positive cases of COVID-19, in Arkansas. And in recent days, the CDC has expanded its recommendations to limit interactions with others by avoiding public gatherings and encouraging staying at home whenever possible. Please know that the City of Van Buren is working with the appropriate healthcare and emergency management officials to ensure we have the most current information.
Until further notice, all visitors to the Municipal Complex and Annex are encouraged to contact the appropriate City department before arriving in-person. Both locations will operate with City staff on-site, and remotely when possible. Many of the permits and licenses from City departments in each building can be processed through email or over the phone. Payments for permits and licenses may be placed in the drop-box outside the Municipal Complex, and through the mail.
