Governor Hutchinson has announced a target date of May 4, 2020 as a starting point for lifting some business restrictions throughout the state. This date is reliant upon continued statewide progress toward reducing COVID-19 community spread. Today, the Governor shared additional dates indicating when he will announce further decisions on when restrictions might be lifted on specific business types:
April 29 – Announcement on restaurant decision
April 30 – Announcement on gyms decision
May 1 – Beauty and barber salon decision
May 4 – Places of worship and larger venues
Additionally, restrictions on elective medical procedures will be lifted effective April 27, 2020. By tomorrow, the Arkansas Department of Health expects to publish more details and requirements about lifting restrictions on elective procedures.
